Shana Tova V’Shona

As we gather to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, despite any threats that may hover over our heads, may this new year bring peace to our hearts and healing to our land. Above all may it bring repentance and turning of hearts to the Lord. Lord, may this year be different (Shana Shona) than the one we leave behind…
Shana Tova.

  1. I love you, Orna!! You always say everything the right way and with the most beautiful tone of voice and such peace. I miss you. I was thinking this evening of getting on fb to contact you, to see how you are. This act of getting on fb is reserved for responding to special people in my life not for posting to all my so-called friends. Before that happened my 30-year-old granddaughter called, and we talked for a while–about life, deep subjects and our love for each other and God. Very special times; tomorrow is the anniversary of her adoption into our family when she was 14. Grandkids, nieces and nephews are super special–so glad you had time with yours, talking about deep, important subjects.

Now I have time for my friend Orna, a special friend–a once in a lifetime encounter, God-orchestrated and ordained kind of friend. I decided to quickly check my email first for a response I was expecting from someone…and their was your post. It was as though Yeshua knew I needed to see and hear your voice first before doing anything else. A calmness poured over me as I listened to your voice. I remember being enveloped by what I now call a “peace bubble” at the training where we met and where you brought us all so beautifully to a peace I will never forget and never forget how to capture, starting with “invite Him in.” Oh, what a beautiful experience that was and how many times I have asked Him in since then, and repented and asked Him to be Lord of so, so many things. Almost every time I begin that process, I remember the “peace bubble” ask Him to help be get there again. And so it goes…the asking, the repenting, the asking Him to be Lord and then sometimes, but not always, I find a scripture and I finish the process. I’m finishing the process more these days. He’s been calling me to that place of quiet rest in Him. And when I get there, all is well. Tonight I realized that’s what you personify–the quiet peace because you rest in Him. I’m forever thankful to you for following our Lord.

I love you, Orna, and see and hear clearly that you are spending time resting in Him. What a beautiful place to be!
